One of the first English barristers to become an accredited commercial mediator in 1998. An experienced mediator who has conducted over 1,500 mediations. An experienced arbitrator who has conducted dozens of private (ad hoc) arbitrations domestically and internationally. An experienced specialist advocate representing parties in mediation, arbitration and other Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) processes in thousands of cases.

Pioneered the use of hybrid dispute resolution processes, such as Arb-Med.

Appointed Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators in 2001. Admitted to the freedom of the City of London in 2018. Admitted as Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Arbitrators in 2019 and elected as Court Assistant in 2024. Sits on the ADR Panel of the Bar Council and on the International Committee Africa Sub-Group. Current Chair of the UK Southern Branch of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.

To those who know him in the dispute resolution and business community, Andrew is known as “The quiet man on the corner” and by the tag-name “Lucky Andrew.”
